Meet Our Team

Coach Carrie started Stick Power Field Hockey in 2005, providing camps and clinics to local players. Since then she has developed an elite training system that focuses on growing the game from the ground up at a young age and preparing players for collegiate competition.

A college coach since 1999, Coach Moura has coached collegiately at Keene State, University of Lynchburg, and has been at Christopher Newport University 2003.

At CNU she has broken over 200 wins, 34 NCAA appearances and developed a Nationally Ranked program.

Coach Carrie serves as the recruiting coordinator for SPFH. She meets with players to discuss their academic and athletic goals to help them find the four year fit to excel as a collegiate hockey player.

Darby Dentu comes to Stick Power from Liberty University.  Dentu is from Milford, Delaware where she began her career. In 2018 she began her collegiate career at Liberty University. Dentu was an attacking forward for her first two years and transitioned to defense her junior year. In 2018 Liberty was runner-up at the Big East Championship, in 2021 they became Big East Champions and National Championship Runner-Ups.

Growing up Dentu played for the club Gotta Love it Oranje where she began her recruiting career. Among her time she competed with and against top athletes at events such as the National Indoor Tournament, Regional Club Championships, Festival, Disney Wide World of Sport, JPOL's, and JPIL's. By taking part in these events it allowed her to grow her knowledge and skill for the game.

Coach Darby's goal as a coach is to grow game awareness and proficiency among the young athletes as they further their athletic careers.
